The night closes in
I draw down the fire

My nightly prayer
By candle light
My Pointed finger
Takes in my family
From old to small

Each wall, each chamber

Is brought to you

The Spirit’s breath
To guard our sleep
And with Thy sword

You shield our home
With angels’ wings
And bring us safe to morning
